Bikinis are the two piece swimming cloths for the women and meant exclusively for swimming made with special type of water resistant material that does not absorb water so that the cloths do not get heavy with the weight of water and every person whether in London or Australia could have a problem with that.
The swimsuit material is also not any fabric but has been undergoing improvements over times. At the moment, the material mostly used for swimsuits is a mixture of nylon and lycra. They not only resist the penetration of water in them but also are intended for reduction in drag in the water.
In sports, this reduction in drag can matter a lot as every second of lead can mean a victory and every second of more drag can mean more time and maybe a loosing place. The fabric designs are also streamlined for even lesser drag and a full body swimsuit is more commonly used in sports purpose as it has less overall resistance when compared to a two piece suit.
This less drag can also be helpful in everyday normal swimming because less drag means less power usage from the human to overcome the resistive forces and this can mean less exhaustion as less work had to be done to complete the same task. So a good suit can convert the swimming from a trial to a fun activity. From this it can be stated that small things can sometimes matter a lot which are often neglected from a normal person.
Bikinis however are the two pieces suit and those are still the choice of some and they may not care for any resistance factor or exhaustion issue but rather they prefer their own choice over any argument of drag and other problems. The material used for these types of swimsuits and the other are almost the same and not much difference is seen if there is any.
All this technology and fast performance comes at a price which is sometimes not affordable for many. A high end fast swim suit can be purchased somewhere around L 170 which many may not want to spend on a swimsuit. But some can also be found below the L 50 mark so a basic user who is not interested in high performance can also buy and use them to enjoy the sports in maybe a better way than the usual cloths.
