Tiny Micro Bikini

May 20, 2010

The tiny micro bikinis in fact are not totally a modern outfit, as most of us have assumed. It is inspired by very ancient paintings, dating, as far back as 1600 BC by the Minoans and also seen in the Roman Mosaics of 300 AD.

Evidently, the credit goes to the two French designers, Jacques Heim and Louis Reard for introducing the modern version of the bikini that we all know of.

Jacques Heim produced the first generation of the two-piece bikini, named, ‘Atome’, the smallest particle known then, for its miniature size. By all standards, it was very offensive, considering the highly conservative period, the bikini made an entry.

Simultaneously, Reird brought out his own version of the ‘Atome’ and called it ‘Bikini’. Believed to have named after the Bikini Reefs, where experimental detonations of mini atomic bombs were taking place. With this background, let us move to the, overwhelming varieties of bikinis available on the shelves.

A few crazy ideas like a bikini with propellers!! A bikini made of porcupine quills etc., attempted in the beginning, only to end at that. Otherwise, the bikinis have come to stay forever.

Though the one-piece swimsuit is still around with very little choice, the two-piece version has seen tremendous change. Varieties like Thongs, Strings, Double Strings, Tankinis, Minis, Micros, Nanos, Suspenders etcetera, the list goes on. Coverage offered by them is from a modest to the Bold.

Do not forget to check the online sites for proper guidance before purchasing the one, which suits your taste and purse.
